Meet Allison Cooley-Agee
Allison spent the first seven years of her life climbing on the backs of her parent’s horses to get a bird’s eye view of the land. Her early rides sparked a lasting curiosity about the transformation from soil to plant, and plant to animal. Her spirit of inquiry and observation of the land has inspired her career as a dynamic agro-ecological coach.
Her company Hoof + Leaf Co. is dedicated to helping producers/landowners make the most of their landscapes whether she is working one on one or at an event. Allison creates community through ecology. Resiliency, a sense of place, and living a joyful life are all core tenets of her philosophy.
She received a B.S. in Sustainable Food and Bioenergy Systems from Montana State University. She has participated and completed the 20-week intensive AgroEcological CREATE Training under Nicole Masters. Allison has also worked at Western Sustainability Exchange, Amaltheia Goat Dairy, and runs her own raw milk dairy. You can usually find her backpacking in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, milking her cows, gardening, or reading her favorite novel with a cup of coffee. She lives in Big Timber, MT with her husband, two dogs, horses, and assortment of dairy cows.
